Mesh Filters

This filter (in any mesh size) is for true hobbyists that have the time to maintain it, I have put an example of cleaning times below, but I cannot guarantee cleaning intervals as every pond is different, it could be less or it could be more.

I do not accept returns of filters due to reduced times between pod cleaning.

If you don’t have the time to clean this filter I would suggest looking into a Drum or Sieve set up.

Click mesh type to be taken to eBay link, if there is no stock favourite the item as I list more every week as I make more.

Example cleaning times on a medium stock pond, feeding twice a day with 5000lph flow.

40 – every 2-3 days

50 – every day

60 – 2 times a day (once morning, once night)

There will be an initial increased cleaning interval to stabilise the fines in the pond. some people have been required to clean the filters multiple times a day and remove overnight, this should lessen after a few days. if there is no change after a week it would suggest that the Eazypod is already overwhelmed by flow rate or the amount of waste.

Background

This item was born from a request from Crazyforkoiandgoldfish on Youtube. Please check his channel for a demonstration of a prototype.

The request was originally for an alternative mesh grade to the beer filter.

However, I didn’t really like the fit or the flow direction and improper fit of those, so I made my own alternative design.

Filter details

On gravity systems, similar to the beer filters, you need to monitor this filter!

If it gets fully blocked, it will restrict flow!

Time to blockage is dependent on the flow rate of your pump and how many particles are in the water.

For pump fed systems, the overflow feature is retained, when the filter is blocked.

They are 3D printed from high quality Black PETG and hand assembled.

The stainless steel mesh is available in different micro sizes.

The design collects dirt on the outside, which allows easy cleaning.

You can use cleaning pipe with it in place, so any loose particles after cleaning the pod do not make it back to the pond.

It does not require any additional fixtures, just pushes into place. (providing your pipe is not massively misaligned!)
